Analysis: Worst case nuclear cloud seen limited to Japan

Another time “experts” are saying that the radioactive fallout couldn’t be as in Chernobyl. I suppose these experts are the same ones that explained how it was impossible a complete meltdown in a BWR reactor, that the spent fuel pools need a week to be emptied by the heat of the radioactive rods and the light water nuclear power plants can only emit low radiation in case of worst scenario.

Chinese and South Korean experts don’t think the same way as these countries are taking preventive measures in case of fallout.

“In the worst case, a radioactive cloud would not go that far up in the atmosphere,” said Jan Beranek, head of environmental group Greenpeace’s International Nuclear Campaign.
